Kempner is located approximately halfway between Copperas Cove and Lampasas….. about 13 miles
west of the Fort Hood main gate. Many homes adjoin the city of Copperas Cove but have Kempner
addresses due to the post office areas of responsibility.
Kempner offers plenty of recreational opportunities that are perfect for residents of all ages. Whether
you're looking for a day of fishing on the fabulous Lampasas River, or viewing the animals at the
Topsey Exotic Ranch, or hiking through nature, you are sure to have a great time. Kempner is known
for its small town feel and its availability of homes with acreage and ranches. If you're looking for a

blanketing the rolling hills.
Kempner is serviced by the Lampasas Independent School District although there are many residences
with Kempner addresses that are serviced by the Copperas Cove Independent School District.
